  • Tons O' Fun

Ohh maaan, the past two weeks were the most uber fun I ever had in my entire life.  I went clubbing with the Joages, Jeshak, Ren, Robbin, Zin, and KD to Mission Rock in San Francisco to see Yuri Tag from Kaba Modern and Taeko "Koi" Carroll perform.  The club was pretty ok although I expected to have more people on it and such.  The first half, we're just standing around and waiting for Yuri and Taeko to come onstage.  As for the meantime, we just watched random people danced on stage along with some go-go dancers to keep the masses happy and such.  The waiting was starting to be unbearable on Robbin so we both went to find an open window to get some fresh air and relaxed and away from the crowd.  We went back after a few minutes but as we were getting back, we bumped into Yuri and Taeko and my eyes were as big as saucers.  We went back to the others and it didn't took long before that tonight's guests took the stage.  Ohhh maaaan, I was having an eye-gasm from the close proximity and I took hella pics and even a vid to make me happy. =3
The next day, it was almost a full day hanging out with Quynh.  We just went to Great Mall over at Milpitas to watch the movie Tropic Thunder.  That movie started slow, but slowly picked itself up after and it became hilarious.  Ben Stiller did a pretty good job on this one.  After the movie, Quynh and I just went shopping in the mall just because it's there.  I bought another hat while Quynh managed to buy a bunch of clothes.  We also went to Victoria's secret 'cause she needed to buy underwear.  It was kinda weird and at the same time kinda hot when she's asking what panties and thongs look good.  And I'm like o___o;;; uhhh . . .the green one looks kinda cool.  And she's like, "oh yeah? ok cool, i'll pick those then."  Then she's like check out my panty I'm wearing right now and I was like "uhh, wow that looks hot."  "Ya think so? You know this is weird of me showing my underwear at ya".  All I did was just let out a small laugh because I'm feeling the heat and the slight embarassment.

Then last Monday, I went go-karting with the office staff over at Burlingame.  We all went in and get ourselves registered at the counter.  Afterwards, we all went into our lockers to get suited up.  Then we went to a quick briefing in one of the rooms, grabbed our helmets, and then it was on the track!  Jeebus cripes, I felt so fast going 30 mph on a turn.  I just passed basically everyone but one guy, but he's like a freakin pro and he's cutting up those turns like it was nothing.  By the time the session ended, my arms felt like rubber because of the intense steering wheel feedback from muscling the go-kart into those turns, it was all just 15 minutes too.

Yesterday, we had a luau party at my boss' house.  It was pretty cool because how my boss really organized the whole thing to celebrate two friends' bday together.  The uber plus thing was seeing my coworker in a two piece bathing suit and dang she got a nice body.  I still wonder why she still wants to put on weight and more tan.  Hm, anyways, my boss and I went for a ride along with the husband of one of the bday women.  It was a good ride toward Sunol and then taking Palomares.

Today, I went to hang out with Justin for a bit to check out the NVision over at San Jose convention center but because of my procrastination, I didn't have time to hang out with him more and instead left in just an hour because I have to get back to Fremont and head to the BART station to pick up Robbin.  We then ate over at Erik's Deli Cafe because she's like hella hungry from the hour trip and then walked around the shopping center across the street.  She bought a game from EB Games because she said it's a rare game and she can sell it for a lot more.  We then hanged out and toured at Devry University and met some of Jon's friends.  Us three then went to go eat some sushi at Ninkimono in Newark.  It's a decent restaurant but I have better ones to go to.  I got home after and finally happy that I actually updated this thing.

  • Weekend Fun

The past couple weeks after the fun in MotoGP was exhausting but fun.  I went to two different bonfire parties along the Great Highway in San Francisco with Robbin and the others on the first one, and with Quynh on the second bonfire party.  I haven't been to bonfire parties in years until recently so it was great and all.  After the second bonfire party with Quynh, we both headed to San Jose with Ricky and his brother Tom for a night in clubbing.  Sadly, the club we went to is packed and we decided to just chill outside of it.  Then Quynh's friend invited us to check out a Korean loung/restaurant thing.  It's not so bad, except the drinks are absurdly expensive.  I ordered a Cosmopolitan for Quynh and my usual rum and coke and it totaled to $20!!! I was like crap.  Oh well, it's all for good fun and Quynh got hella buzzed for it. He he he.
The last weekend was going to an outdoor rave with Jessica and her date Andrew in San Francisco in front of the city hall.  I was surprised it's an outdoor thing because the last one I went to was back in high school and it was a hella shady one at that.  But we had good fun and Jessica and I went to eat some dinner and had yogurt for dinner in Metreon Afterwards and I dropped her home.

  • MotoGP 2008 - Laguna Seca - July 19-21

I had a blast this past weekend at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix in Monterey, Calfornia (whew that was a mouthful there).
Prior to the event, I had got in touch with a couple of people from BARF to join a carpool down to the raceway.  So pretty much all I did was buy a new sleeping bag and some snacks and off I go.  I drove to Hayward to meet up with Hideki and Jason at Hidek's parents house.  After getting our stuffs together we headed down to Monterey, woohoo~!  The traffic wasn't really that bad so it was all good.

    Saturday
We reached the campgrounds at around 11:00 p.m. so it was hella dark and most of the people had already gone to sleep.  So we quietly set up the base camp using my cellphone as a
flashlight.  The tent was surprisingly easy to set up.  We didn't do much so we just ended up
sleeping right after.  The next morning (which was 4 hours laters), we all got up to get ready for the morning
meeting.  Ugh, I was still sleepy and groggy but work is work and I'm also partly excited getting there.
Morning meeting was actually brief and just told us to meet up with our Turn Marshals for
further instructions.  In order to get to our stations we had to ride this truck called the
    Dragon (Drag-On Wagon, get it?)

I met Doug the turn marshall for Turn 4 and he's pretty cool old guy. He's been doing this for a few years so it's cool.  Then I met a couple of guys who seems to be the pranksters of the crew, Paul and Price.  But it sure did lighten up my nervousness of doing such as this for the first time.  So after a quick duty rundowns between and introduction, things were starting off pretty good.  Morning inspection: it's FREAKING FOGGY.  I can't even see the
guys at the next turn.  But all we did was just stand on the edge of the track, be standing like soldiers with our equipment at our sides.
So that was done and each racing class started doing the practice laps starting with the
    MotoGP and then the AMA.
It went like that pretty much the whole day just the qualifying after the practice.  At the end of the day, the USARM decided to give us a nice BBQ feast and free beer as a reward for doing such a "good" job. How cool is that?

    Sunday
Race day.  I'm freaking even more nervous because unlike a practice or the qualifying rounds,  these racers are going all out and anything can happen in such a highly competitive level such as the MotoGP.  Same thing as Saturday, morning meetings and inspection.  Of course, just like in a high profile boxing match, MotoGP race does not start until the lower classes give a performance of their own.  It started off with the U.S. Red Bull Rookies Cup.  It's basically for 13-16 year olds to race 125cc bikes.  It doesn't sound much but these kids are hungry for some win.  The most notable that happened in this one is the neck-to-neck kind of race of these two kids to the finish line.  It's really hard to describe it in words but I'll definitely remember this for sure.
    MotoGP:
The pinnacle of motorcycle racing complete with super fast athletic races, the most powerful and most expensive bikes in the entire world, entirely customized and there I was working for such an event.  It kicks teh asses o__o
Casey Stoner of Ducati and Valentino Rossi from Yamaha were going neck to neck with this race and I thought the Rookies cup was exciting.  Rossi did a bit of off road to get ahead of Stoner.  However during the final laps, Stoner had too much of a wide turn and ended up on the gravel.  Rossi then just won the entire race from there on by finishing the rest of the race.
What a great day.  I got some souvenirs to commemorate the event and I think I'll come back
    again next year.

  • Week of Condolences

I think my title for this particular entry is kinda morbid but it fits this past week.  One of my friends' father-in-law had passed away last Monday.  Last Tuesday, our new receptionist's grandfather had passed away and had to be gone for the rest of the week.  Then at Wednesday, one of our patients, who is also a close friend of the dentist, her father had died.  After Sunday's ride, my boss, his friend and I went to the wake of that patient's father and it was pretty much somber.

I was like dang, this is just too much and it got me thinking.  How exactly would I like people to remember me by when I die?  I was thinking maybe I should buy a vid-cam and just put up a video that would be played on my wake.  Something obviously lighthearted and optimistic.  Yeah, I think that's a good idea.

About Me

  • People would first assume that I'm an eccentric introvert person that spouts out weird conversational topics and yet also discuss about the life in general normally. I'm just bent on ruling the dust bunnies of my room and trying to conquer the twisties with my motorcycle. I also occasionally do Michael Jackson impression/dances when drunk. I do pretty much anything I enjoy and that's the way I wanted it.
